Chrismassy Plum Cake for the Season

Ingredients
All purpose flour 2 cups
Butter ½ cup
Vegetable Oil ½ cup
Eggs 2
Rum/ Brandy one Peg
Alcohol soaked dry fruits 1 cup
Sugar powder 1 cup
caramalized sugar syrup 1/2 cup
Dried orange peel few pieces
Vanilla essence 1tsp
Baking powder 1tsp
Salt A pinch
Method: Take one broad vessel convenient to mix. Put flour with baking powder into the strainer and let the flour strain into the vessel. Add butter and oil to the flour and give it a mix. Mix it thoroughly either with a hand
mixer or manual mix. See that the mix doesn’t leave any lumps. Now, add eggs and sugar powder give it a mix. Add caramalized sugar syrup, which actually is the reason for the taste and color. At the end add vanilla essence, salt, baking powder, dry fruits, dried orange peel, rum. Just fold all the ingredients and fill up the greased container. Pop into preheated oven for about 30 minutes. Cake is ready by now ensure by inserting a tooth pick into the cake to see it come out clean.
Caramalized Sugar Syrup prepartation: Take a vessel and heat it, put 1/2 cup of sugar and stir it so that it turn watery into brown and slowly black color, at this point add two tbsp of water so that the solution doesn’t cyrstalize before we add it into the batter.
